Another new step in aging. Realizing we really need to have sympathy cards on hand in the house.

Sukkah

Every year I make our Sukkah using different quilt tops as the walls. Our Havorah does services at our home for the holiday.

Bat Mitzvah Quilt

This quilt made for our niece. The family went to Israel and she had her Bat Mitzvah near the Kotel. As I'm Ameri Ind I had her draw her spirit guides before I started this quilt. She is the fox, as her favorite colors are silver and black it was natural to go with the silver fox. She is posed in front of the Kotel (Western Wall).

2008 Bar Mitzvah quilt

This was made for our nephew whose Hebrew name is tzvi, which means deer. The ghost layer of the tallit and the tzit tzit coming forward symbolize how they are part of him and his to protect.

Thought I would revive this blog as well. I'm not certain WHY. But there will be something to this.
